Recognized as ‘Best for Continuing Education'

Franklin University was recognized for Best Continuing Education Offerings in Columbus CEO’s 2024 Best of Business Readers poll. This year marked the magazine’s 17th annual recognition contest and Franklin’s fourth inclusion (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024) among the top vote getters in last five years. The honor validates Franklin’s track record for successfully delivering relevant educational options for professionals at every career stage.

With a goal of improving and developing leadership skills and competencies for leaders and managers at all levels, the Leadership Center provides unique programs that are well regarded within our region.

Partner Spotlight: Discover

Since 2017, Discover has partnered Franklin to provide employees with free books and a tuition discount on select associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. Through the Discover Leadership Education Advancement Program (LEAP), more than 40 Discover associates have obtained B.S. in Business Administration degrees through on-site and online courses.

Dedicated course sections allowed for curriculum tailored to the organization. As part of the expansion of the initial partnership establishing the LEAP program, all Discover associates now have access to free textbooks and a tuition discount toward Franklin’s bachelor’s and master’s programs.

Dan Bruney

Senior Manager, Discover National Recovery Center

"Everyone, from the professors to the administrative team, is very attentive to our students and makes it a very rewarding experience...So far, we have had two cohorts in the program and it has been a fantastic experience for our employees. The cohorts were taking one class together on-site at our Discover facility each term. This was beneficial because participants are able to share the experience of managing a full-time career and a college-level course load with their co-workers. "

Vanessa Summey ’21

Team Leader, Discover Financial Services

"After being out of school for so long, I was a bit apprehensive about returning to a mostly online format. Franklin’s support immediately put my mind at ease. While the coursework was vigorous and challenging, the instructors were always incredibly helpful, and I felt that they were invested in my success. All of this, partnered with Discover’s investment in my education, has more than prepared me for the next level in my career. "
