Bridge Courses
NURS 800 - Principles of Advanced Nurse Practice (4)
This foundational course for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students focuses on the role of nursing scholarship, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and leadership development. Students will also explore health care delivery, health policy, and communication technology.
NURS 805 - Transition to Doctor of Nursing Practice (4)
This bridge course focuses on the role of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and is offered for students who have not completed a master's in nursing program prior to matriculation into the DNP. The focus will be on developing requisite skills needed for role assumption and leadership through engagement in activities designed to develop competencies within an area of interest. [Practicum hours: 125]
