Franklin University, a leader in adult education, is proud to announce the launch of its new Master of Science (M.S.) in Communications degree program, featuring two dynamic specializations. As Ohio’s #1 nonprofit university for online degrees, Franklin continues to offer programs designed to align with students' career goals and interests, providing relevant and targeted education for today’s professionals.

Building on the University’s commitment to excellence, the new M.S. in Communications program allows students to choose from two specialized paths, enabling them to tailor their education to their specific career aspirations. These specializations include:

M.S. in Communications – Strategic Communication Specialization:
This track equips students with the expertise to develop and implement effective communication strategies that enhance brand reputation, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and manage crises. The curriculum emphasizes message creation, media relations, and communication analytics, preparing graduates for roles in corporate communications, public relations, and marketing.

M.S. in Communications – Health Communication Specialization:
For those looking to advance in the healthcare field, this specialization focuses on communication within healthcare organizations, health campaign development, and patient engagement. The coursework delves into health literacy, healthcare marketing, and public health communication strategies, making it ideal for careers in healthcare systems, nonprofit health organizations, and health policy.

With the demand for skilled communicators continuing to rise, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 6% growth in media and communication occupations from 2021 to 2031, highlighting the increasing need for professionals equipped to manage diverse communication challenges across industries. Franklin’s accredited, fully online M.S. in Communications program addresses this demand by preparing students to lead and communicate effectively in high-demand fields.

The program features scenario-based learning that mirrors real-world communication challenges, from crisis management to audience engagement. This practical approach equips students with the tools to navigate today’s evolving communication environments successfully.

Designed for working professionals, Franklin’s M.S. in Communications can be completed 100% online in as few as 16 months, with no GMAT/GRE required. The program offers the flexibility needed for adult learners to advance their careers while managing busy schedules.
