OAS-Supported Programming

OAS-Supported Programming

The Office of Academic Scholarship (OAS) supports programming for faculty, staff, and students. OAS programming aims to empower individual researchers to develop their projects through collegial conversation, workshops, and seminars with peers and mentors. Please contact the office at oas@franklin.edu for more information about participating in these opportunities.

Franklin University Scholarship Showcase

The Franklin University Scholarship Showcase is an annual conference supported by the Office of Academic Scholarship (OAS) and the Doctoral Student Association (DSA). This is an opportunity for everyone at Franklin to share their work, ignite curiosity, and inspire others to dive into research, whether through collaborative efforts or by pursuing independent projects.

For more information, and to see contributions from previous conferences, check out the showcase page on FUSE

Note that the Franklin University Scholarship Showcase is an expansion of the DSA conference that was held from 2021-2024. Works from the DSA conferences are available on FUSE

Writing Fridays For Faculty & Staff

The OAS sponsors the University-wide Writing Fridays program, a “write-in-place" initiative aimed at providing faculty and staff dedicated, unstructured work time for their writing and research projects. Writing Fridays aims to both support and make visible the exciting work faculty and staff are already pursuing in their writing and research. By opening up a dedicated space for faculty and staff to write alongside of one another, the initiative hopes to make creativity, collegiality, and persistence the foundation of our writing habits across our campus.
