Franklin University is pleased to announce its expanded articulation partnership with Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, marking the University’s second partnership with a Pennsylvania-based institution, further enhancing educational opportunities for students in Pennsylvania. This collaboration opens the door for Penn Highlands students and alumni to access Franklin’s innovative Pathway Portal and benefit from a special tuition rate of $298 per credit hour.

Franklin University is committed to providing working adults with accessible, high-quality education, and this new partnership with Penn Highlands is a key part of that mission. The Pathway Portal enables students to easily navigate the transfer process, ensuring they maximize their tuition dollars and transition smoothly from an associate degree to one of Franklin’s 28 bachelor’s degree programs. Eligible students will enjoy a $100 per credit hour discount, reducing their tuition rate to $298 per credit hour.

“I am excited to collaborate with Franklin University and explore new opportunities for Penn Highlands graduates,” stated Sabrina Lane, Transfer Services Specialist at Penn Highlands. “This Portal offers an economical path to obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Franklin University, allowing students to take the maximum number of courses at Penn Highlands for a smooth transfer process.”

Penn Highlands now joins a distinguished network of community colleges across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia that partner with Franklin to provide access to the Pathway Portal. Through the Pathway Portal, students and alumni from partner institutions gain a clear understanding of how their associate degree courses transfer toward one of Franklin's 28 bachelor’s degree programs, aiding them in choosing the program that best fits their goals. This initiative makes it easier for Penn Highlands students to continue their education affordably, with transparent, manageable tuition costs.

The Pathway Portal is part of Franklin’s broader effort to support students in reaching their academic and career goals. By simplifying the transfer process and offering an affordable, streamlined path to a bachelor’s degree, the portal has become a vital tool for students at partner institutions. Since its launch in March 2023, over 5,000 students from 34 Pathway Portal partner institutions have opted into the program, benefitting from its clear transfer pathways and reduced tuition costs.
