Dr. Leo R. Sedlmeyer

Doctoral Professor/Faculty Advisor/Committee Member

 

 

      Dr. Sedlmeyer has currently served at Franklin University since 2020. He is presently an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Business Administration program, teaching several DBA courses and serving as a faculty advisor and doctoral committee member. Dr. Sedlmeyer has 38 years of college-level teaching experience beginning in 1984 with the Community College of the Air Force located at the Department of Defense Fire Protection School. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Madison College in Madison, Wisconsin teaching Business Administration, Management, Leadership, International Finance, Corporate Finance, and Human Resources courses. Dr. Sedlmeyer previously served as an adjunct professor at Upper Iowa University, teaching Public Administration, International Economics, Corporate Finance, Management, and Leadership.

 

     Dr. Sedlmeyer earned his Doctor of Business Administration at Walden University specializing in Leadership, Master of Business Administration at Franklin University specializing in Financial Leadership, Bachelor of Science at Franklin University specializing in Public Safety Management, and an Associate Degree in Applied Science at the Community College of the Air Force specializing in Applied Fire Science. He served in the private sector as a CEO, CFO, Director, Site Manager, District Manager, and Business Consultant. Dr. Sedlmeyer is a published author of scholarly business articles and studies. He was a guest speaker at various aviation events such as the Federal Aviation Administration regional conferences, fire service conferences, and business conferences. Dr. Sedlmeyer is retired from the United States Air Force Reserves as a Master Sergeant/Deputy Fire Chief with 20 years of service. He served 37 years in the fire service, both military and civilian, covering all sectors from volunteer, state, military, municipal, federal and private sectors.
