Profile

Dr. Sedlmeyer has currently served at Franklin University since 2021. He is an adjunct Doctor of Business Administration professor, teaching several DBA courses and serving as a doctoral committee chair and doctoral committee reviewer. Dr. Sedlmeyer has 38 years of college-level teaching experience, beginning in 1984 with the Community College of the Air Force at the Department of Defense Fire Protection School. He was an adjunct professor for various colleges and universities, teaching Business Administration, Management, Leadership, International Finance, Corporate Finance, Public Administration, International Economics, and Human Resources courses. Dr. Sedlmeyer earned his Doctor of Business Administration at Walden University specializing in Leadership, Master of Business Administration at Franklin University specializing in Financial Leadership, Bachelor of Science at Franklin University specializing in Public Safety Management, and an Associate Degree in Applied Science at the Community College of the Air Force specializing in Applied Fire Science. He served in the private sector as a CEO, CFO, Director, Site Manager, District Manager, and Business Consultant. Dr. Sedlmeyer is a published author of scholarly business articles and studies. He was a guest speaker at various aviation events, such as the Federal Aviation Administration regional, fire service, and business conferences. Dr. Sedlmeyer is retired from the United States Air Force Reserves as a Master Sergeant/Deputy Fire Chief with 20 years of service. He served 37 years in the fire service, both military and civilian, covering all sectors from volunteer, state, military, municipal, federal, and private sectors.
