Larry Hughes

Profile

Dr. Hughes came to the academy after a career in the industry. His last position was as a human resources and quality control officer for the software development arm of a Fortune 250 firm. After earning an MBA and a Ph.D., he taught management, leadership, finance, and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also served as an accreditation director, a college dean, and an interim stint as a vice president of academic affairs. He has supervised over 100 doctoral dissertations and has published 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education, the Leadership and Organization Development Journal, Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management, the Journal of Business and Leadership, the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management, and the Journal of Organization and Leadership Studies. He has also presented over 30 paper at academic conferences including the Academy of Management and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
