b'ALUMNI GREETING The Office of Community Relations staff: Sherry Mercurio (M.S. Marketing & Communication 05)and Aaron Cassady (B.S. Business Administration 14)Connections create relationships and relationships create opportunities to help one other. Connections have made it possible for Franklin University to serve more students in more places, develop academic and industry partnerships, and provide offerings to meet the ever-changing needs of society. My connection to Franklin began in 2001before I worked for the University. A leader in my organization knew I was looking into various masters programs and shared his experience with Franklins MBA. His insights led me to Franklins M.S. in Marketing & Communication. The program enabled me to balance my other responsibilities with earning a degree that provided the skills I needed to advance professionally. My Franklin connection grew deeper in 2005, when I joined the University to lead public relations and communications efforts. Today, as the executive director of the Office of Community Relations, my connections continue to grow and provide me with the privilege of connecting and developing relationships with some of our incredible Franklin alumni. As I connect with our alumni, I find a shared recognition. A recognition that we are not the sole authors of our story. Our story is created through common experiences, help from others, and a spirit of giving. I thank you for your willingness to give back and help others succeed in the wake of your own success. It is my hope that you stay involved with the University through our monthly alumni e-newsletters, events and podcasts, and social media. In the meantime, keep those stories about your Franklin experience and your current achievements streaming into our office. We love hearing from you! Together, we make it possible!Sherry MercurioExecutive Director2 Clocktower | Alumni Greeting'
