Throughout his life, Hall found ways to bolster the Universitys efforts and through a legacy gift, Halls support for the Universitys work will liveon in perpetuity. When he returned from the war, Eldon took a job as a truck driver with Rose Products and Services. Once he started a family, he knew he would need to further his education to advance in the business world. He found Franklin, which at that time was located at the YMCA, and enrolled. With his degree in-hand, Eldon enjoyed a long career at Rose Productseventually serving as the organizations president. All the while, Hall strengthened his affiliation with Franklin in the form of financial support toward student scholarships, community enrichment efforts like Hall Leadership Lessons, facility renovations for the Department of Safety & Security, and many other technology and student service upgrades. The University recognized Halls significant contributions with special designation as Outstanding Alumnus of the Year in 1996, and an Honorary Doctorate of Leadership in 2006. Upon receiving the Outstanding Alumnus Award, Hall stated, I wanted to pay tribute to Franklin University for giving so many of us the opportunity to build a betterlife for ourselves and our loved ones.28 Clocktower | Franklin News'
