After graduation, and even after taking a professional exam, you might want to consider joining a professional organization in your field. These organizations can help provide career guidance after graduation as well as inform you about conferences in your location for continuing education. Accounting Organizations
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners student membership is available to graduate and undergrad college and university students who have an interest in fraud prevention and detection. Graduate students should currently be enrolled in 6 semester hours and undergrad students currently enrolled in 9 semester hours.
Fees are based on country of residence.
Current U.S. fees are: Electronic Associate - $25 with substantiated enrollment.

Financial Organizations
Financial Planning Organizations
The Financial Planning Association is the membership organization and professional home for committed practitioners who want to master the practice of financial planning and help shape the future of the profession.
Fees: Aspiring Financial Planner - $50 annually (including chapter dues)
This membership is available to those who do not yet work in financial planning or financial services industry but aspire too. This type of membership may be held for a maximum of four years.

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is the country’s leading professional association of fee-only financial advisors – highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interest of those they serve.
Requirements: Applicant must be pursuing a degree or designation that will lead to a career in financial planning. Part-time students may be employed by a fee-only financial planning firm but may not work for a commission-earning firm. Full-time students may be exempt from the requirement if paid or unpaid employment by commission-earning firm is in connection with school related internship program. Exemptions require prior approval by NAPFA’s membership lead.
Fee: $150 part-time student $35 full-time student
