LibKey - Unlock Your Research!
Do you ever encounter a paywall when searching online for articles? The Franklin University Library is proud to announce a new research tool that will unlock your research potential.
Introducing LibKey Nomad, a suite of tools that connect you to the library's academic journal holdings when you're searching on the open web and through library databases.
To get started:
-
Visit www.libkeynomad.com.
-
Select your browser.
-
Download the LibKey Nomad plugin.
-
Connect LibKey Nomad to the Franklin University Library by typing Franklin University and selecting it from the dropdown menu.
-
Look for the LibKey Nomad button (lower left of the page) to either download PDFs or link out to articles found on publisher websites*, Google, PubMed and more!
If access to the full text is not available, you will be provided with options to request the article through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
You can also search for articles available from the Franklin University Library by DOI (Digital Object Identifier). Go to https://libkey.io/ and enter the DOI in the search bar. You can learn more about DOIs here.
To learn more, visit the library’s LibKey guide, download a brief user guide, or contact us at library@franklin.edu.
*Note: LibKey does not work on all publisher websites. Please review the publishers that support LibKey.
Choose which notifications you would like to receive.
